A Special Invitation: Hoops for Homes Fundraiser

We hope you and your family are well. We are thrilled to share some incredible news: Northfield Community LDC has been selected as a proud recipient of the Diamond Matching Grant Program, an initiative of The Staten Island Foundation.

This is a huge opportunity for our community. Every dollar donated to our upcoming Hoops for Homes fundraiser will be matched, doubling the impact we have on our vital community programs and services.

Mark your calendar! The Hoops for Homes event will take place during March Madness (date and location to be determined).  We’re excited to partner with local schools for a fun, basketball-themed event. This fundraiser will bring our community together to raise crucial funds that enable us to continue our vital work for the community. The funds we raise are critical, allowing us to aid Staten Island residents with housing issues, foreclosure prevention, utility savings, and support for seniors and local businesses.

Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, we made a significant impact last year:

• We helped over 200 clients secure resources to stay in their homes.
• We improved home energy efficiency for over 100 residents.
• We helped six families receive $100,000 first-time homebuyer grants from NYC.
• We completed repairs on 20 homes through our Beyond Weatherization Program.

By participating in Hoops for Homes, you will directly contribute to our mission of improving the lives of Staten Islanders. Your support helps fund our work in weatherization, energy conservation, housing counseling, senior services, and economic development.
